2012 Planned Parenthood Annual Luncheon was Sold Out

The keynote speaker was Shelby Knox, a young activist nationally known for her Sundance award-winning film, “The Education of Shelby Knox”. The documentary chronicled her teenage activism for sex education in her conservative Texas high school.

Deborah Westlight, 14 year-old student at Pacific Crest Community School, telling the event attendees how for her birthday, she told her friends to donate to Planned Parenthood instead of giving her birthday gifts, because she cares so much about our services and educational programs.

Over 800 people attended the annual luncheon at the Hilton

From Planned Parenthood:

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is the largest non-profit family planning and reproductive rights organization in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

The PPCW mission is to provide, promote, and protect access to sexual and reproductive health care.

Since 1963, PPCW has provided a broad range of sexual and reproductive health care, family planning and other medical services; trained and educated community members on issues of sexuality; and advocated for the protection of reproductive rights and freedom in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Each year, more than 60,000 women, men and teens visit one of PPCW’s ten health centers.
