The evening started off on a high note when the Rose Festival announced the results of the fundraising efforts for its first Official Charity the Knight Cancer Challenge, presenting a check for $120,000 to Marilyn Eska a cancer survivor representing the Knight Cancer Institute. The lively audience kept the energy going for the rest of the evening by rewarding the Festival’s charitable efforts in virtually matching the contribution with generous bidding and direct donations.
