Portland, April 8th 2016. Community Partners for Affordable Housing (CPAH) held its eighteenth annual “HomeWord Bound” fundraiser at the Oregon Zoo. It’s CPAH’s signature fundraiser and includes dinner, silent auction, and local authors signing books available for purchase. CPAH provides safe and healthy affordable housing along with support and skill building activities, like after-school programs, for individuals and families. The nonprofit hosted over a dozen Northwest authors this year at HomeWord Bound. Sheila Hamilton author of “All the Things We Never Knew” was on hand. Her memoir is about loving and losing someone with mental illness, in this case, her husband, David.
Marcia Coffey Turnquist was another author featured at the event. The former KOIN-TV anchor’s debut novel is “The God of Sno Cone Blue”. Visit her website at marciacoffeyturnquist.com.
