Fourth Annual Dave & Dan Golf Tournament Raises a Record $1.1 Million to Help Kids

Beaverton, OR. Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains was the site of the fourth annual Dave & Dan Classic. Dan Fouts, Greg Mitchell and Dave Wilcox were all on hand for the tournament. The event raised a record-breaking $1.1 million dollars for six Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, including Doernbecher Children’s HospitalFirst Tech Federal Credit Union united with other northwest credit unions, corporate sponsors, credit union members and celebrities on July 11th for the benefit. 

Named after NFL Hall of Fame Inductees Dave Wilcox and Dan Fouts, this year’s event featured 29 celebrity guests including fellow Pro Football Hall of Famers Charlie Joiner, Dermontti Dawson, James Lofton and many others.

“It is phenomenal that the Dave and Dan Classic is now one of the top Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers in the nation,” remarked Joe Dearborn, Senior Director, Credit Unions for Kids at CMN Hospitals. “The funds raised help more than the 10 million kids treated at our hospitals. This year’s overwhelming success is a testament to First Tech and the entire credit union community.”

Formerly known as the “Hank and Moose Open,” the tournament has raised more than $5 million over the last 15 years. This year’s tournament proceeds will benefit the following CMN Hospitals: Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (Portland, Oregon), Sacred Heart Medical Center (Eugene, Oregon), Seattle Children’s Hospital (Seattle, Washington), USCF Benioff Children’s Hospitals (Oakland, California), UC Davis Children’s Hospital (Sacramento, California), and Children’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora, Colorado).
