Beaverton, OR. Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club in North Plains was the site of the fourth annual Dave & Dan Classic. Dan Fouts, Greg Mitchell and Dave Wilcox were all on hand for the tournament. The event raised a record-breaking $1.1 million dollars for six Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals, including Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. First Tech Federal Credit Union united with other northwest credit unions, corporate sponsors, credit union members and celebrities on July 11th for the benefit.
“It is phenomenal that the Dave and Dan Classic is now one of the top Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraisers in the nation,” remarked Joe Dearborn, Senior Director, Credit Unions for Kids at CMN Hospitals. “The funds raised help more than the 10 million kids treated at our hospitals. This year’s overwhelming success is a testament to First Tech and the entire credit union community.”
Formerly known as the “Hank and Moose Open,” the tournament has raised more than $5 million over the last 15 years. This year’s tournament proceeds will benefit the following CMN Hospitals: Doernbecher Children’s Hospital (Portland, Oregon), Sacred Heart Medical Center (Eugene, Oregon), Seattle Children’s Hospital (Seattle, Washington), USCF Benioff Children’s Hospitals (Oakland, California), UC Davis Children’s Hospital (Sacramento, California), and Children’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora, Colorado).
“We’re proud of the credit union community and our sponsors who are truly committed to this effort and to making a difference every year,” stated Greg Mitchell, First Tech president and CEO. “This is about ensuring that the Children’s Miracle Hospital Network continues to bring hope, health and a better quality of care for children in our communities.”
