Portland, OR. “Tail Wag, Tails from the Garden,” was the title of a Oregon Humane Society (OHS) benefit at Lewis & Clark College. The summer celebration drew nearly 300 people. It was a night for dinner, cocktails and dancing. Ellyn Bye and her friends were among the Humane Society supporters who enjoyed lawn games like Corn Hole, Croquet and Giant Jenga. Four signature cocktails were served along with an after dinner french fry station to keep guest in a dancing mood. Guests had the opportunity to get up close and personal with more than two dozen cats, kittens, dogs and puppies available for adoption. Special animal guest stars, such as Pippa, who was part of an OHS rescue, helped attendees get a first-hand look at the work of OHS.
