Portland, OR. Grimm cast members joined Governor Kate Brown to plant a small grove of trees in North Portland’s Pier Park, creating a lasting tribute to the work and the legacy of the long running show. Stars Sasha Roiz and David Guintoli helped with the planting on April 14th. Tim Williams, executive director of the Oregon Governor’s Office of Film & Television, says that “Grimm” provided about 300 jobs year-to-year, and directly spent nearly $300 million in Oregon. Additionally, the cast started the Grimmster Endowment Fund for children and families at Doernbecher Children’s hospital, which has raised more than $1.5M over the past three years. The commemorative grove of trees is a joint partnership between the City of Portland, Friends of Trees, Friends of Pier Park, Comcast/NBC and the Governor’s Office of Film & Television.
