University President, Ed Ray, touted the positive impact that the university has on the state, region and world. No recap of 2014 would be complete without a mention of the university’s $1.14 billion comprehensive capital campaign. Ray noted the campaign funded 28 campus construction and renovation projects, endowed 79 faculty positions and created more than 600 new scholarships and fellowships serving 3,200 students. Oregon State achieved another milestone in 2014. Enrollment rose to more than 30,000 students for the first time, making OSU Oregon’s largest university.
The event concluded with a surprise for the audience as 190 members of the OSU Marching band filed into the Oregon Convention Center for a brief performance.
