The 29th Annual Tigard Festival of Balloons Benefits Local Nonprofits

Tigard, June 21st – 23rd, 2013. The 29th annual Festival of Balloons in Tigard, drew more than 15,000 spectators to Tigard’s  Cook Park early each morning to experience the sight of 20+ hot air balloons launching into the morning sky. Crowds spent the afternoon shopping at the craft vendor booths, rooting for their teams in the youth soccer tournament, and enjoying live music and entertainment for all ages.

The Festival also included a car show.

The nonprofit community event also included the NW Natural night glow on Friday and Saturday nights (illuminated hot air balloons), the Rogue Ales beer tent, Safety Safari presented by Radio Disney on Saturday, Twilight Run (new this year) on Saturday night, and Landmark Ford Festival of Cars on Sunday.
Festival of Balloons is a non-profit organization raising funds for many non-profit groups in Tigard while providing a premier family event for the entire community. Groups benefiting from Festival funds include: Tigard High School Boosters, Tigard Breakfast Rotary, Tigard Lunch Rotary, American Cancer Society/Relay for Life Tigard-Tualatin, Tigard High School Band and Auxiliary Parent Organization, Tigard High School Grad Night Committee, Southside Soccer, and many local schools.
